Collars That Pop

Every once in awhile, an image stands out from the blogospheric ocean, which I seem to constantly be surfing, and really resonates with that cherished chord reserved for aesthetics. This image from The Sartorialist a few months back has kindled an obsessive passion for collar-style necklaces.

As soon as the temperature falls below zero, my wardrobe philosophy can be summarized with the immortal words of the Rolling Stones: paint it black. Colour hurts my eyes after December 1st. A really simple way to make an all-black outfit more visually interesting is to add layers of texture.
