designer visit - jillian from headmistress

Jillian from Headmistress popped in the shop yesterday to show me her latest creations for Spring/Summer 2011!! I'm always curious what she's whipped up as she consistently has the ability to reinvent her line. Plus, her timing for certain trends is just dead on!! What got me excited??? Turbans and Demi-Turbans!! Of course, we're all in!

I'm always a sucker for vintage inspired clothing and accessories, so these pretty much made me giddy!! The inspiration;

Located in the West Queen West neighborhood of Toronto (we like to call it WOS, West of Spadina!) is the now two and a half year old Charlie. As a fervent supporter of the Canadian fashion industry, owner Erin Swan sells mostly homegrown labels (along with a few European and American lines), such as Allison Wonderland and Erin Vincent. Swan plans on adding more labels, including Josiane Perron from Montreal and 2Two from Paris, this upcoming spring. The boutique, where one can often find the always-smiling owner Erin Swan and her friendly staff, is a one-stop shop, with everything from dresses, tops, bottoms, and accessories. Be sure to check the store out this week for their third annual blow out sale, with merchandise going for up to 60 percent off.
