rock the runway 2011

On Saturday, Erin, Erosia, and I (Desiree) had the pleasure of attending Rock The Runway, a charitable fashion event held at the Royal Ontario Museum. This yearly event seeks to raise money and awareness for recognized local and international charities as well as to provide local designers and artists with the opportunity to showcase their works.

This year, all proceeds raised at the event went to War Child Canada. War Child, an organization founded by Dr. Samantha Nutt, works with children all over the world in an attempt to reduce poverty, provide education and defend children's rights. More specifically, War Child Canada, provides urgently needed humanitarian assistance to war-affected children and families around the world. In addition, they assist in generating support, awareness, and advocacy for children's rights all over the world.

I think that I can speak for the three of us when I say that we were so happy to support such a great cause! Furthermore, we had such a lovely time listening to the band Young Empires! And you all know, we luv seeing talented Canadian designers (18 Waits, Baby Steinberg, Chris Nevin, Sarah Stevenson, Ask & Embla, Arnaldo Santos, and Cara Cheung) show off their collections!
