We all recently attended Stacy Burke's launch of her debut album, Like a Good Woman Might, at The Dakota Tavern! Stacy provides us with Covet Closet (new styles are now in store!!), so it was nice to go out and show our support!! She showed her support right back at us by wearing a Sessun dress purchased from Charlie!! I luv it when the luv goes both ways!!

lg fashion week: baby steinberg & evan biddell

It is always great to see designers creating garments out of eco-friendly fabrics and materials. It is even better to see those eco-friendly garments possessing the qualities of high-end fashion. This season at LG Fashion Week, Baby Steinberg did just so!


This season, Evan Biddell held a runway show prior to LG Fashion Week. However, he did hold an installation in the fashion enviroment giving us all a peek of his Spring/Summer 2011 collection!

lg fashion week: jessica jensen & alexander berardi

Last week, I had the opportunity to see Jessica Jensen present her handbag collection along with Alexander Berardi's Spring/Summer 2011 clothing collection. Alexander Berardi displayed a collection that was full of elegant, practical, and versatile wardrobe pieces, most being of a neutral tone with the exception of a couple of gold sequined items (which were beautiful, I might add!). Jessica Jensen's handbags were tactfully intertwined with Alexander's collection and were also practical, uncomplicated, but none-the-less luxurious. Together, the duo made looking fabulous absolutely effortless! After seeing such a great display of practicality and versatility, it is safe to say that Jessica Jensen and Alexander Berardi's designs are a must-have in your everyday wardrobe!

lg fashion week: pink tartan

Out of the few shows that I was lucky enough to attend this season at LG Fashion Week (thanks Erin!), my favorite, by far, was that of Pink Tartan! Kimberley Newport-Mimran is a genius when it comes to creating feminine and flattering silhouettes. This season, her runway show was full of neon coloured garments and hats, onesies and maxi dresses, bell bottom pants (yes, they are back!), and beautifully cut silk blouses! I feel that I can speak for all of us when I say that her designs are simply gorgeous!

Hi fashionable Charlie-goers! If you haven't already met me in the store, I would love to introduce myself. My name is Desiree and this is my first blog post for Charlie Boutique ! Erin has given me this amazing opportunity to blog about recent fashion events that I have attended (I know, it's crazy right?). Therefore, I am going to give you a sneak peek in to my world and the events that I have attended as a representative of Charlie!

To begin, I recently attended the Juma cocktail fashion installation which took place at The Spoke Club on King Street West. Designers (and siblings) Jamil and Alia Juma displayed their Spring/Summer 2011 collection, an androgynous collection consisting of african-inspired prints and fabrics. I fell in luv immediately with the duo. Their clothing and cultural experiences were both unique and inspiring. Take a peek:
