Toronto Designer, Adrienne Butikofer, has decided to take a short break from design in order to focus on her new little addition (see photo - who wouldn't want to spend more time with that cutie!). However, we at the boutique, are already going through withdrawal!! She's a charlie favourite and was kind enough to swing by and leave us with a few limited edition pieces to help ease our pain!

One of our favourite new additions this season, has arrived at charlie and yes, it's another Vancouver label!! BC continues to impress us! We first fell in luv with Ella Peru when Designer/Creative Director, Su-Hui Chu popped in the boutique last Fall with her Spring/Summer samples in tow. We luv the line's pretty, yet edgy contrast. It's classic, but all pieces still have that necessary extra something! The colours she has chosen and her selection of prints for this season are standout!! And always important to us is fit....she's nailed it! Last season the BC Fashion Week panel of judges voted Ella Peru first place for Best Up and Coming Label. We're thrilled to have her on board! She's got cred, plus she's an absolute sweatheart!!!
This week in the window we've saluted BB Dakota! We luv their quirky feminine touches, dead on fit and the big bonus with this collection is, it won't break the bank!! For Spring they've gone mad with vibrant prints, exposed zippers, flouncy skirts, cropped boyfriend pants, dresses, dresses and more dresses!!! Spring has officially sprung at charlie!!

We are very pleased to offer you a little piece of the Island, Salt Spring Island, BC! You've got to luv a good feather headpiece and these ones are gorgeous!! Each piece is luvingly handmade by longtime friends Katy Parsons and Katie Burke. Inspired by the beauty of feathers and the luv of making art with their hands, Featherettes was born out of passion. They are determined to always keep their product fresh and unique by using both new and vintage treasures. No two pieces are ever, exactly the same and the colour combinations these ladies put together are breath taking!! Headbands now available in store ($34 each).
Today the lovely Erin Vincent (1/2 of Cochon Noir) popped in the boutique with her sidekick Harriet (her partner Fabrice Arfi is currently in France...lucky!!). The pair make up Cochon Noir which is a Toronto based company. We luv this line because they specialize in vintage inspired creations. Necklaces consisting of all antique charms and found objects ($29-$49). They have an amazing eye for pairing these items together in a beautiful, modern way. We also carry their coin purses ($19) which are made out of re-purposed textiles and screened with the coolest images of animals wearing crowns (of course!!). Their creations truly are one of a kind. Last time we brought them in, everything flew, so swing by and check them out!!!
